The weekend meditation courses are held at Duldzin Dragpa Centre in Epping. These events provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about meditation and Kadampa Buddhism, and how they can be applied to daily life. Everyone is welcome.

The are also other UK/International special events listed below which are held at the beautiful Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverston, Cumbria or Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre in Derbyshire.

common in today’s hectic world and they can
have a debilitating effect on our personal life,
our work and our relationships. Buddhism
teaches simple techniques to reduce and
overcome these problems that can be practised
by anyone whether Buddhist or non-Buddhist.

Since there is really no way to stop things
changing we need to change the way we respond
to unexpected problems. Through learning Buddha's wisdom advice on karma and gradually integrating
it into our daily lives we can radically change our life
for the better, learn to accept difficult situations
and come to experience peace everyday in our lives.

For thousands of years Buddha's teachings have
touched hearts of many transforming their life into
one of great meaning and benefit. His teachings are universally applicable and everybody everywhere can
benefit from adopting aspects of the Buddhist way of
life, such as compassion and non-harmfulness to solve
their daily problems, improve family relationships and
move towards a higher purpose.

Kadam Bridget Heyes will grant the blessing
empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. This ceremony
is like a guided meditation that will help us to make a
closer connection with Buddha, begin to feel his
beneficial influence in our life and be inspired to follow
in his footsteps. The rest of the celebration will consist
of teachings and meditations.

offers us a different way of viewing ourself and
relating to the extraordinary hidden potential
we all have rather than our limitations. Building
this inner confidence will naturally lead us to
improve our good qualities and develop positive,
happy states of mind, as well as enabling us to be
a positive influence on those around us.

Kadam Bridget will grant the empowerment
of Dorje Shugden and give teachings on
"Developing Inner Strength and Confidence".
Dorje Shugden is a wisdom Buddha who protects
our spiritual development by pacifying obstacles
and creating favourable conditions. He is an
enlightened being who cares for us and leads
us on correct paths.

Special Fasting & Purification retreat
In conjunction with Buddha AvalokiteshvaraAvalokiteshvara

Retreat session times for both days:
Taking Precepts: 6.30am-7.15am (not optional)
Session 1: 8.00am-9.15am
Session 2: 10.30am-11.45am
Session 3: 3.30pm-4.45pm

This special fasting and purification practice is
performed in conjunction with Eleven-faced
Avalokiteshvara. It is very powerful for purifying
negative karma of body, speech, and mind, and
for pacifying strong delusions such as desirous
attachment and hatred. It is also a special method
for receiving blessings and improving our
experience of love, compassion, and bodhicitta.

Ai Peng McBretney will grant precepts on both
days at 6.30am. Anyone wishing to join any
sessions of the retreat is required to take
precepts on the day.


Suggested donation: £8 for the day

Learn what Tantra is, how it works and why it
is a powerful form of Buddhist practice. When
we understand the real meaning of Tantra we
will see how precious Buddha's Tantric
instructions are and how to put them into
practice purely so that we can quickly purify
our mind, our world, our enjoyments and our
activities.

how to make a determined choice to follow
thoughts and ideas that lead to happiness and
learn how not just be led by strong negative

always do this!
