The weekend meditation courses are held at Duldzin Dragpa Centre in Epping. These events provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about meditation and Kadampa Buddhism, and how they can be applied to daily life. Everyone is welcome.

The are also other UK/International special events listed below which are held at the beautiful Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverston, Cumbria or Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre in Derbyshire.

When we experience problems and difficulties we
seek protection from this suffering. However, the
protection we find in the world is at best temporary
and new problems soon arrive. By turning to Buddha
and his profound teachings, and following the example
of experienced practitioners, a special refuge can be
developed in our mind that provides us lasting

Delusions often crowd our mind. They make us
view the world, other people and ourself in a
distorted way. When our mind is under the
influence of delusions, we are out of touch
with reality and are not seeing things as they
really are. An opportunity to learn how to
to identify our delusions and develop wisdom.
With no delusions remaining in our mind, there
is nothing that can disturb our inner peace.

Special Fasting & Purification retreat

Session 2: 10.45am-12.00noon

Sat 14 Apr 5.30pm-6.30pm (with tsog offerings)
Sun 15 Apr 12.15pm-1.00pm


This special fasting and purification practice is
performed in conjunction with Eleven-faced
Avalokiteshvara. It is very powerful for purifying
negative karma of body, speech, and mind, and for
pacifying strong delusions such as desirous
attachment and hatred. It is also a special method
for receiving blessings and improving our
experience of love, compassion, and bodhichitta.

Ai Peng McBretney will grant precepts on both days
at 6.30am. Anyone wishing to join any sessions of
the retreat is required to take precepts on the day.

Learn to meditate: the basics

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind
calm and peaceful. Meditation is simple to learn.
In this course we can learn the basics of
meditation and see practically how to
"administer" meditation to improve our lives.

which we can receive the powerful blessings of our
Spiritual Guide and fulfil our spiritual wishes.
On Saturday we will then have the opportunity to
engage in the practice. Everyone is welcome.
