Course Topics

"Staying calm when things go wrong" - 22nd April to 24th May

When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the mind.

Therefore, if we want to be happy all the time and to be free from problems, we must develop and maintain a peaceful mind, which can be done through meditation.

"Craving, attachment and addiction" - 10th to 28th June

What precisely is attachment? What are the psychological processes that lead to addiction? Gain a deeper understanding of how our habits of thinking lead to attachment, and what we can do about it.

These talks will provide a simple system for changing our way of relating to the objects of our attachment, giving us practical tools to help us break the chains of these painful mental habits and to experience real freedom.

"Love: the great protector" - 1st to 26th July

Cultivating universal love that embraces immeasurable living beings is the best way to solve our problems and to benefit others in these troubled times. Currently, this precious attitude of mind is very unstable and fleeting. We forget it for days on end as we immerse ourselves in mundane ways of thinking and acting.

By training our mind, love becomes spontaneous, unshakeable, and unconditional. During this course, we will take time to discover this precious mind of love and learn how it helps us to solve our daily problems and fulfil all our wishes.

“The very presence of someone who cherishes all living beings removes negativity from the world and gives back loving kindness.” Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
