Letting Go of Inner Conflict & Struggle
We all want to change. We all want to become better people.
But often our efforts at inner transformation fail because they’re rooted in inner conflict—a struggle between who we are now and who we long to become. When we encounter the inspiring teachings of Buddha—universal compassion, wisdom, loving-kindness, inner peace, and freedom from anger—we may try hard to embody these ideals. Yet we soon come up against our own negative mental habits, which feel like heavy stones tied to our legs as we try to fly.
This is where frustration sets in. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Real change is possible. These inner negativities are not who we are— they’re just habits of mind. Within us lies a deep inner strength and power to change. When we learn to tap into this strength, our efforts for transformation become joyful, sustainable, and freeing—rather than driven by conflict.
You will learn how to:
- Tap into your inner power and strength
- Recognise your potential
- Gain real freedom and happiness
- Tue 18 Nov - Gain clarity, tap into your great inner strength
- Tue 25 Nov - Creating positive energy
- Tue 2 Dec - Eliminating bad habits and negative attitudes
- Tue 9 Dec - Inner transformation
Begin 2026: Let Go, Lighten Up, Find Peace & Joy
Start the new year by freeing your mind from the weight of the past.
We all want to be happy, yet emotions like anger, jealousy, and craving can cloud our mind and leave us feeling heavy, stuck, or discouraged. Buddha taught that with the right inner methods, we can not only reduce these painful states — we can learn to let go of them completely.
In this uplifting 5-week meditation course, beginning 13 January, you’ll learn practical Buddhist methods to release painful emotions, gradually let go of disappointment and hurt, and uncover a deep and peaceful happiness within. Drawing on Advice from Atisha’s Heart, we will explore powerful yet accessible ways of thinking that help us heal from within and move forward with clarity, confidence, and joy.
Through guided meditations and practical teachings, you’ll discover how to respond to life’s challenges with wisdom and compassion — and how to maintain a peaceful, open heart no matter what is happening around you.
Let go, lighten up, and begin 2026 with a renewed sense of freedom, confidence, and inner joy.
You will discover how to:
- Let go of anger, disappointment, and painful emotions through meditation and wisdom
- Respond to challenges with compassion, confidence, and mental strength
- Cultivate a calm, clear mind and a deep happiness that does not depend on external conditions
- Tue 13 Jan - What robs us of our inner peace?
- Tue 20 Jan - Why is it so hard to let go of painful emotions?
- Tue 27 Jan - Working with our uncontrolled desire
- Tue 3 Feb - Working with jealousy
- Tue 10 Feb - Moving forward with sincere practice
The Happiness of a Good Heart
True happiness arises from a good heart — one that is open, kind, and free from prejudice. In this new series of classes, we’ll explore Buddha’s teachings on love and compassion, learning how to develop a mind that embraces all living beings with warmth and understanding.
Through meditations on equanimity, affectionate love, and compassion, we’ll discover how to open our hearts and dissolve the barriers that separate us from others. We’ll also look deeply into how to view our own and others’ faults in the mirror of Dharma — understanding that, in truth, living beings have no faults, only temporary states of confusion.
Each class offers practical guidance, reflection, and guided meditation — helping us cultivate the peaceful happiness that naturally arises from a good heart.
You will learn how to:
- Develop equanimity and open your heart to others with genuine affection
- See beyond faults and strengthen empathy and compassion
- Experience the deep, joyful peace that comes from cherishing others
- Tue 24 Feb - Balancing the heart in times of joy and challenge
- Tue 3 Mar - Learning to cultivate warmth and kindness
- Tue 10 Mar - Understanding ourselves without harsh judgment
- Tue 17 Mar - Seeing the goodness in others
- Tue 24 Mar - Compassion in action
