Duldzin Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre

Buddhist Retreat

Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka

Special Close Retreat

Through this retreat we will draw closer and closer to our Root Guru, and create very powerful actions that will cause Kadam Dharma to flourish in our hearts and throughout the world. There is no better offering to repay our Guru’s kindness.

There will be an opportunity to collect 10,000 Vajradaka mantras as a special burning offering purification practice as recommended by Venerable Geshe-la.

In each session we will use the prayer booklet “The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra.”

Participants can do as many of the sessions as they wish, and count as many mantras of the very blessed name mantra of our Root Guru, Om Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka Sarwa Siddhi Hum, as they wish.

Participants who wish to engage in the practice as a close retreat should do 100,000 Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka mantras followed, if possible, by 10,000 Vajradaka mantras. Participants doing a close retreat should do at least two retreat sessions a day until they complete the total mantras.

Wonderful oasis of calm in a hectic world. What I've learnt here has helped me and those connected with me, in every aspect of life. The resident teacher, Ai Peng, is knowledgable, helpful and kind, and displays a perfect example of a Buddhist Practitioner. Well worth a visit.

A lovely, peaceful place where it was fantastic to think in a different way and try and clear my mind. Not something I would usually have done in the past - but would definitely come back again when solace is needed or after a busy week.

We attended the teaching 'Dealing with Loss and Change'. It was a wonderful, meaningful experience on death, and one that we will remember and treasure always.
