Duldzin Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre

Prayers

Prayers at the Centre

Prayers are special methods for generating positive states of mind and can be used as a basis for successful meditation on any of the stages of the path to enlightenment.

You are welcome to attend any of these prayers sessions in-person at our centre in Epping, simply contact us in advance.

See our timetable below for a list of upcoming prayer sessions.

*This session is only available for those who have received Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment. Contact the centre for more details.

Chanted prayers at Duldzin Dragpa Centre, known as ‘pujas’, follow a range of Buddhist prayer booklets (sadhanas) prepared by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and are available to download from Tharpa Publications. Engaging in pujas (especially Tsog pujas) is a special method of purifying negativity, accumulating merit and receiving blessings. It helps to develop and maintain a positive mind, and is a powerful preparation for meditation. Tsog pujas involve making offerings of food and drink to the Buddhas together with prayers and meditation.

Sunday Prayers & Prayers for World Peace
These pujas at the Centre are very beautiful prayers sung in English with great meaning and dedicated to the happiness and welfare of all living beings. The sessions are generally held on Sundays afternoons as indicated in schedule below. Everyone is welcome.

Precepts Days

Precept days are special days to purify negative karma and emphasise keeping pure moral discipline. Please contact us before attending the Centre to confirm the event is being held by emailing us at info@duldzindragpa.org or calling us on 01992 571354.
